Full-Time Level 1 Support Specialist

Group Benefits, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Level 1 Support Specialist at their Urbandale, Iowa office.

Group Benefits is a general insurance agency - they sell health insurance, dental, and life both on the group side and individual insurance, medical supplements, etc. The Level 1 Support Specialist will support the Level 1 and Level 2 Group team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter data into the system, accurately complete membership requests, quoting, and service requests, and provide general assistance to agents regarding basic questions
  • Provide status updates on Activities, follow up on Activities set in the system
  • Recover Missing Information, using resources and correspondence with agents to find and/or complete missing information for requests
  • Assist Account Managers, Assisting account managers on deadline days and through busy season with renewals and other projects

Other Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree or the equivalent relevant work experience
  • Data Entry
  • Customer Service
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • AgencyBloc or similar agency management software experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
