Group Benefits, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing Communications Specialist at their Urbandale, Iowa office. The Marketing Communications Specialist is part of a team but will work independently as well.

 

The Marketing Communications Specialist will work to provide marketing support to external agents and produce company communications to external audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce copy for various audiences, purposes, and media

  • Enhance the GBL brand by participating in new agent and new employee onboarding

  • This position requires excellent writing skills but an insurance background is not necessary

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or another related field or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required

  • Intern experience or other writing experience is preferred

  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to actively listen and problem solve with minimal assistance   

  • Attention to detail and commitment to a high level of accuracy

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and work in a fast-paced environment

Group Benefits, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full-time Level 2 Group Account Manager at their Urbandale, Iowa office. The Level 2 Group Account Manager is part of a team but will work independently as well.

 

The Level 2 Group Account Manager will work to provide support to the agent during the sale of group health insurance, and provide support to the group and their employees throughout the benefit cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, courteous, and accurate responses to all inquiries either from the agent or the group client and their employees

  • Process all necessary paperwork by adhering to the established sales and retention processes

  • Communicate with carriers and clients in an effective and friendly manner

  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree or the equivalent relevant work experience

  • Health and Life Insurance License within 45 days of hire

  • Minimum 2 years experience working  in the insurance industry

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook

  • AgencyBloc or similar agency management software experience, preferred

  • Collect U 65 and O 65 information (leads)

  • Run quotes for U 65 and Medicare Supplements

  • Manage the individual supply area

  • Resource/Service for Medicare/U 65 leads, clients and affiliate agents with NON complex issues

  • AOR changes

  • Verify new active policy receiving commissions

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or the recognized equivalent in education and experience, required
