Now Hiring: Full-Time Marketing Communications Specialist

Group Benefits, Ltd. has an opening for a full-time Marketing Communications Specialist at their Urbandale, Iowa office.

 

The Marketing Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for producing copy for various audiences, purposes, and media. They will also enhance the GBL brand by participating in new agent and new employee onboarding. This position requires excellent writing skills, but no insurance background is required.

 

This entry level position requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or another related field. Intern experience or other writing experience is preferred. The candidate should have superior skills with all Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Excel. Experience using GotoWebinar and Robly for emails is also preferred, but not required.

 

The candidate should be detail-orientated, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong people skills are an absolute must.

Now Hiring: ​Full-Time Office Manager & Executive Assistant

Group Benefits, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full-time Office Manager and Executive Assistant at their Urbandale, Iowa office. This is an on-location/in-person position.

The Office Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and serves as the direct supervisor of the organization's receptionists. The Office Manager works with all employees for time off requests, benefits questions, and prepares time cards for payroll on a regular basis. The Office Manager serves as the in-house, go-to person for employee concerns, ideas, and feedback, and also serves as a point-of-contact for all new hires.

The Executive Assistant coordinates the schedules of assigned members of management and assists them with day-to-day tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Superb organization and communication skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

  • At least five years of management and leadership experience preferred

  • Experience working in the health insurance industry preferred

  • Able to work 40+ hours/week as needed

Now Hiring: Full-Time and Part-Time Commission Specialist I

Group Benefits, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a full-time and part-time Commission Specialist I at their Urbandale, Iowa office. The part-time position would be great for someone looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule (approximately 4 hours per day – M-F).

 

The Commission Specialist I works with specific insurance carrier deposits to process within the commission module on a daily basis and may be assigned other tasks as part of their work day. This position works a lot in Microsoft Excel and AgencyBloc to ensure commissions are matched up to specific policies and paid out to agents properly.

 

The Commission Specialist I is part of a team but will work independently as well.

 

Qualifications:

  • Exquisite attention to detail is required

  • Ability to learn/work with Excel files and commissions software required

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality required

  • Experience with AgencyBloc preferred

  • Experience working in the health insurance industry preferred
